TN: 2017 Domaine Vacheron Sancerre Le Rose XVII

  • 2017 Domaine Vacheron Sancerre Le Rose XVII - France, Loire Valley, Upper Loire, Sancerre (7/20/2019)
This really was unique and unlike other Rosés that I’ve had in the past. Almost orange in the glass, there was a strong note of tangerine & melon on the palate. There was a spice and orange-rind note that lingered nicely along the palate. While it was a magnum, I only got about 2 glasses before it was gone. Comments among the party were, “If I knew this is what rosé was like I’d be drinking more” and “Very nice…not what I expected…how unique.” If I found this in 750’s I’d be tempted to buy a few more. What a wonderful gift. high acidity, medium body, and a long finish. Outstanding!!
