2010 Oakville Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley - USA, California, Napa Valley (7/24/2019)
This has aged beautifully. Nose of deep dark black cherries and blackberries. Color shows youth and vigor. Palate shows some dense black fruits as well with tremendous verve and lift. There is still a macerated berry quality I enjoy. Deeply layered and still bold; some framboise is present. Acidity is a bit high, but agreeable, this really has held up well (six years since my last taste) and it will certainly could go 15 more years, easily. Alas, tis is my last. Finish bold and true. If served blind, I may have called this a 2013 or 2014. I have always been a fan of ten, and this bottle reminds of why. Somewhat old school but yet knee deep in the now. Pure Oakville and awesome.
