TN: 2004 Albert Boxler Riesling (France, Alsace)

2004 Albert Boxler Riesling - France, Alsace (7/9/2019)
Fifteen years from the vintage, and this is singing. It still has primary pear and peach fruit, but it also has the burnished edges of maturity, and a shockingly long finish. Quite a showing for the “basic” Riesling, but that’s Boxler, always punching above its weight class.

I’m a fan after enjoying a couple of bottles at my annual Flyertalk wine dinner. Thanks for the note.
