TN: 2009 Tercero Grenache & 2016 Tercero Mourvedre Rose

I found these hidden in my cellar recently and decided to open them. I followed both over 2 days and both improved on day 2.

09’ Grenache
So good from the get go. In an interesting place and it still has lots of room for development. I love the structure and balanced mouth feel in the mid palate. Still has some great fruit but is show some age.

16’ Mourvedre Rose
Another example of perfect balance of acidity, structure, and fruit. It has aged beautifully and still can go for a while. As all of Larry’s rose’s it has a seductive nose full of tropical fruits and orange peel. The wine drinks beautifully and has some nice roundness in the mid palate.

I plan on cracking my last 2016 Rose today at a bbq. Amazing how much flavor and nuance this wine has picked up over the last few years. Tempted to hold on to it a bit longer but, smoke if you got em!
