For Fathers Day. Ahhhhh. Double decanted 2 hrs before dinner, and then decanted at the restaurant. Big blast of black fruit, some minerals and cedar, and quite a bit of tannic grip, giving a bit of pucker on the first taste. Quite enjoyable now, but very youthful; hold for at least 5, probably 10 years knowing Very typical for this house.
Ah! One of my favorites from Bordeaux…I am opening up a 2005 this weekend with friends. Really looking forward to it.
While I haven’t tried the 2008, I tried a 2009 a few months ago and it needed 5+ years also.
