2016 Ridge East Bench Zin

Seen a bunch sitting on a local shelf and grabbed one to give it a try before I took them all. So glad I did.
Very thin, watery, lacking fruit with some cherry flavor, not much on the finish. Not sure if its was an off bottle. Not very good.

I sent a glass to my neighbor just so I thought it was not me and he had the same opinion, not good. CT is all over the place on this bottle as well.

The 2007 Carmichael I had a few months back was kicking and made me think why am I not buying more Ridge Zin. Not a deterrent to buy other Ridge, as I grabbed a few '16 Geyserville’s.

Bought two of the 2012s on WineBid. Still loads of intense fruit, delicious.

Of the easy to find but less known ones, really like Carmichael and Buchignani and Mill Creek (?), didn’t care for East Bench or Boatman or Hooker.

I love Ridge Zins, but mostly buy Geyserville (or sometimes Lytton Springs) and Three Valleys for a less expensive wine.
