TN: 2014 Domaine Camus-Bruchon & Fils Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Narbantons

  • 2014 Domaine Camus-Bruchon & Fils Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Narbantons - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru (6/1/2019)
Decanted 8 hrs. Quite the attractive nose with autumnal decay playing of baking spice notes, fragrant floral oils, very Beaune. With additional air (6 hr mark) , it seemed to get darker, perhaps taking on a more Nuits-like personality, either way, it was great. Ripe and almost generous, dark strawberries play well off some earthey and pepper qualities. Deceptively structured as the finish carries a pretty solid pop of acidity and tannin. Drinking well young and a great buy at $35 or whatever I paid for it. Great upside. (91 pts.)
