I came across this interesting project yesterday, “The Cube Project”:
Has anyone tried these wines?
[Description from Anne Amie website 2011 Cube Project Anne Amie - Anne Amie Vineyard ~ Anne Amie Vineyards]
Concept
Three Winemakers, Three Vineyards, Nine Wines: An Experiment in Terroir with Anne Amie Vineyards, Bouchaine Vineyards, and Lincourt Vineyards
This experiment is about community, terroir, and creative expression for the winemaker. It is a unique opportunity to see their home vineyard through someone else’s eyes.
Each winery will decide which block of theirs to pick. The block will have to be at least 6-tons in size. Each 6-ton lot will be divided into thirds, with each of the three winemakers fermenting 2 tons of fruit.
Each winemaker will be responsible for the picking decisions at their own winery; therefore each of the three wines made from that particular lot will start on equal footing.
Each winery will produce 120 cases of each vineyard.
