TN: 2005 Domaine Chandon de Briailles Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Ile des Vergelesses

Posted from CellarTracker

Thanks for the note. The three bottles of '06 I’ve had recently have been nothing but generous, open and at peak. I really think this doesn’t get the attention it deserves as it is generally rustic and quite mineral, but it has a charming quality about it that speaks to my palate.

Given the vintage and the winery, not at all surprising.

Interesting, jh.

The 2005 Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Les Lavières is currently more open, but still 2005’ish. 10 years more cellaring sounds right

Thanks Jeremy; mine are buried.
I am planning to open an 05 Village soon.
