1993 Montrose

Despite the vintage absolutely worth to seek out
Wonderfully deep and multilayered
Still a tannin bite

You are on a roll with these 1993s!

Yes indeed
Found out @ my 60 birthday that Lynch Bages was so great in that vintage I had to investigate

You should look for some ‘93 Lafleur, absolutely gorgeous last year, surprised WOTN in one of our tastings.

I finished 4 cases of ‘93 LLC between ‘01 and ‘13, great during the period but was fading toward the end.

I really like 93 Mouton and LLC.

The 1994 Lafleur is also a gem

Two of my favorites of the vintage. Also got a small taste of Petrus at release at the then high price of $300 per bottle!

Try 1993 Haut-Brion, it is an amazing wine in the context of the vintage. We were married in 93, and last fall celebrated 25 years by throwing a dinner party featuring wines from 93. California cabs from Caymus, Diamond Creek, Dalla Valle and Beringer showed great, but the 93 H-B was the best wine of the dinner.

1994 Montrose is also very good.
