TN: 1999 Bruno Giacosa Barolo Le Rocche del Falletto di Serralunga d'Alba

  • 1999 Bruno Giacosa Barolo Le Rocche del Falletto di Serralunga d’Alba - Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo (4/10/2019)
Decanted and took some time to truly strut its stuff. Very youthful appearance. Gorgeous and marked nose with floral and menthol elements. Complex Red fruit and spice with the tannic structure still very prominent. Very long finish. Beautiful wine.

EDIT: incorrect wine labeled

Just FYI, the wine you had looks to be the “Le Rocche del Falletto” which is different than the regular “Falletto”.

You are correct sir. I didn’t realize the mistake until your reply and looking at the title.

And thanks

Thank you for taking one for the team. This wine is immovable. i.e. Rocche. I have 10 left. I know I will pop one in the next couple of years. It
seems almost immortal. Wishing that it unwinds some in the near future. Cheers.
