Powerful note of black cherry, mushroom and dirt combine in this classic expression of Gevrey; started out a touch green in the nose, but none in the palate and was at once a little shut down and also suprisedly aged—bricking, the mushroom note—perhaps because it was out of 375. After an hour in the decanter, it really came together, glad I have a couple more bottles. Drink or hold.
