2009 Bodega Dominio Buenavista / Veleta Tempranillo - Spain, Andalucía, Vino de la Tierra Contraviesa Alpujarra (4/7/2019)
I fought a pitched battle with the cork. The cork won. So after passing the wine through a fine mesh filter, I poured a glass of deep ruby red wine. It was quite forward, with red fruit, herbs and a bit of leather. Pretty much dead on Tempranillo. Easy to drink, it will make a great match with grilled meat, as it should!

Yep, last one I had was similar. Also similar issues with the corkscrew ripping out the center of the cork of a few of the wines. I’ve taken to use a Durand on Veletas older than a couple years.
