It'll arrive.

Tbh, I love how Marcassin is doing the aging for us - would guess it's intentional.

I served the Marcassin chardonnay from Marcassin Vineyard ( latest release , I forget the vintage ) about 6 months ago here in Belgium . Very experienced tasters . Everybody thought it was a concentrated high end Cote du Rhone , genre Condrieu or Hermitage blanc .

I guess it’s an acquired taste (I haven’t).

Hi all!

First post here and waned to ask how long have you waited in order to get an allocation.

I an on the waiting list for at least four years, perhaps five. Has anyone got an allocation recently and if so, how many years did you spend waiting?

Thanks

Was just offered 13 marcassin pinot tonight through source that just got word it's coming shortly to him. Should be out to others soon. Haven't decided if I'll take it all yet.

When you say source, do you mean a wine shop or someone on the list? I know the ‘13 chardonnay has been in select shops for a few months now even though it hasn’t been released to customers on the list.

Switch to Aubert. Considerably less expensive and every bit as good, if not better.
Aubert and Marcassin do not exist in the same dimension.

Agree to disagree on that one.
Try them blind side by side, they're different stylistically but qualitatively on par.
Love them both.

I think we're agreeing to agree. I agree that qualitatively they are the same. But stylistically, they are NOT. If you really like Marcassin, I don't see how Aubert would be a good substitute, and vice versa, unless you appreciate both styles.

The Chard letter hasn't even been sent yet and I'm next to positive it always arrives before the Pinot.

I emailed Jen to check in on this earlier in the week, but (uncharacteristically) no response.

I emailed Jen after reading this thread and also with a new address. Please see answer below (October 21).

"We updated your address. We processed your order for the 2012 Pinot Noir last year. We are still working on the 2013 Chardonnay offer and it will be out soon. Stay tuned."

Got the same response about 6 weeks ago when I inquired as well, the waiting game continues!
