TN - 2004 Rhys Chardonnay

It’s been two-plus years and I have a couple left. Opened decanted, due to crumbling cork, and poured. The nose is a light lemon and butterscotch. Taste added some other interesting fruit that I’m trying to determine. Finish is balanced and the fruit hangs on. I love that it still has acid and fruit in some form of balance. Not bad for around $40 at the time.

Will be pairing with sushi. But enjoyable on its own. Doubt it will do anything but descend if I wait too long on this bottle or my remaining two. Will see if I can connect with a couple of old friends and revisit Rhys later in the Summer.

The Rhys folks started well and continue to improve.

Nice note John. I think I still have your email.
