2011 Rhys "Home" PN

2011 Rhys “Home” PN - 13.2%
Medium red with onion skin at edge.
Rich nose of tea, sandlewood, earth and Rhubarb.
Ripe, round, bing cherry fruit entry led to a long, spicy, dry, slightly tannic finish.
Quite nice, actually. Will age another year or two, but I’d pound it now.
Again, no flies on this bottle.
Anyone who doesn’t recognize this as a fine (not great) bottle of Pinot has the palate of a Yak. (thanks Bob)

Beguiling nose of sassafras, underbrush and white pepper. Like the other 2011’s I have had, just falls short on the palate - nice acidity, but just a little flat and simple.
