TN: Stottle Viognier ElerdingCnynVnyd '16...(short/boring)

Tried this last night w/ my sausage & kraut:

  1. StottleWnry Viognier ElerdingCanyonVnyd/YakimaVlly (14.4%; www.StottleWinery.com) Lacey 2016: Med.light gold color; strong fragrant Viog/pear/peach/floral light stony/mineral slight Mosel valve oil lovely perfumed nose; bit soft rather rich/lush strong pear/peach/Viog light stony/chalky balanced lightly spicy flavor; very long/lingering spicy/peach/pear/Viog fairly rich/lush light miner/chalky quite interesting finish; fairly rich/lush but not at all straying into DollyParton territory; quite a pretty Viog; not a Condrieu but speaks strongly of Viog in its on way; very fairly priced at $24.50 (KK)

A wee BloodyPulpit:

  1. This Viognier comes from the 2’nd oldest Viog planting in WashState. This is a new wnry for me that I came across at Kokomans, so thought I’d give it a try. It reminded me some of the old Viogs of Doug McCrea w/o all the oak; more of the first Viogs of DavidLake at Columbia. They had two other Stottle wines on the shelf that I’ll try as well.
