2011 Rhys “Bearwallow” PN - 13.5%
There’s been some controversy about the 2011 Rhys Pinots, so I’m going to sample some over the next month or so.
Mature light-medium red with onion skin at edge.
Fine spicy, pine sap, blackberry nose.
Elegant, feminine, light bodied pure cherry fruit.
Not an Earth-Mover, but still tasty with no faults except it’s lightness.
A little tannin remains, but this should be consumed in 2019.
A nice, super easy drinking quaffer ideal for veal or chicken.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this wine!
