TN: 2010 José Michel & Fils Champagne Special Club

  • 2010 José Michel & Fils Champagne Special Club - France, Champagne (3/17/2019)
Nose: The nose shows off a distinct spring-time quality filled with white peaches, pears, apples, white fruits, acacia flowers, citrus tones, minerals, and some biscuit notes. There is a brightness to the nose that is extremely enjoyable with excellent depth.

Taste: The feel is medium bodied with high acidity. There is a poised quality to the feel with the acidity showing a raciness to it backed up by fresh tones of pears, white peaches, acacia florals, minerals, apples, and biscuit notes.

Overall: This is a fresh, pretty, and all together elegant champagne. There is a youthful verve to this that is extremely attractive along with balanced acidity that is well integrated. While this can age for 5-8 years, it’s in a great place right now if one enjoys fresher fruit. (91 pts.)
