TN: 2017 Meulenhof Erdener Treppchen Riesling Spätlese Alte Reben

2017 Meulenhof Erdener Treppchen Riesling Spätlese Alte Reben - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer (2/18/2019)
Bright fruit that veers towards Scheurebe, with pineapple and pink grapefruit, is backed by vibrant acidity that electrifies the palate. Tons of depth, so make sure to have a bunch on hand, as it’s really hard to resist now. Need at least a few to see how it ages.

Outstanding performance for Meulenhof!

Thanks David, Any idea how the 2012 is doing these days? I have a bunch of that.

No. I only bought a few, and they all disappeared within 18 months.

David,
How would you compare Meulenhof’s ET Spatlese to Max Ferd Richter’s? Thanks.

I’m not much of a MFR drinker. The few times I have had the wines they do not ring my chimes.

The thing about this Meulenhof bottling is that it’s the ungrafted vines that escaped the vineyard re-terracing and re-planting.
