TN: 2012 Moussé Fils Champagne Special Club Extra Brut Rosé de Saignée

2012 Moussé Fils Champagne Special Club Extra Brut Rosé de Saignée - France, Champagne (2/16/2019)

Opened by a friend who brought this back from France. This is the first 100% Meunier Rose made as a Special Club. Made from 25 year old vines. Disgorged Feb. 2016. Given a 72 hour cold maceration which resulted in a very deep pinkish red color. 2g/ltr dosage. Delicious. I could have drank this all night. Floral nose. Notes of just picked cherries, cream and raspberry. Fresh with a slight bight from the skin contact. Aggressive bead which persisted in the glass. Round lingering finish. One of the best Special Clubs I’ve ever had. 98 points.

love this 2012 and the 2013 is also a special club and just as good

Thanks for the TN. I have the 2014. Hope it will taste judt as good as yours.

Great and really interesting producer. Thanks for the note.

This was one of the best Champagnes I had in 2018 and the best Special Club bottling I’ve had to date. I’ve tried the 2013 once now and have several bottles in storage. The 13 seemed a bit lighter fruit than I remember the 2012. Thanks for the note!
