Pretty much a pnp…VERY surprised to see this dude is still alive and kickin! Not at all what you’d expect in a Mayacamas wine…old school, rustic and structured…this Pinot is delicate, soft and bright red fruited. A delicate lace of strawberry and cherry fruits…earthy sous bois, hint of menthol, soft orange/cranberry acidity…shows seamless and elegant. There is a wonderful savory sweetness from the fruit…cold raspberry tea…mild earth tones and subtle spices…and gorgeous dried florals and aged tertiary notes. Every sip is gaining…I’m waiting for it to fall apart, but it doesn’t. What an intrigue…very pleased with this! (93 pts.)

Nice nice!

Wow that cork is soaked!

very fun. love bottles like this

Got four bottles as part of a Mayacamas package. Opened one, expecting a picnic wine, and was entranced by it. The floral notes were there, and there was an effortless quality to the wine. I have one left which I am probably opening as a blind wine.
