TN: 2013 Domaine de Chevalier - L'Esprit de Chevalier Blanc (France, Bordeaux, Graves, Pessac-Léognan)

2013 L’Esprit de Chevalier Blanc - France, Bordeaux, Graves, Pessac-Léognan (1/29/2019)
– popped and poured –
– tasted non-blind over a couple hours –
– 50% Sauvignon Blanc, 50% Semillon –

NOSE: “green”; peas; tropical; pleasantly expressive, although not terribly complex.

BODY: pale green-yellow color; medium-light bodied; Diam 5 closure.

TASTE: good acidity; light gooseberry; smoky mineral on the back end; finish is of medium intensity; medium-light to medium concentration as it warms to room temperature; probably best with a slight chill; 13% alc. not noticeable; leans more towards Sauv. Blanc than it does Semillon. Nothing extraordinary, but nothing out of place, either. Attractive at its $20 price point. Drink Now and over the next few years.

50, 5, 12, 16, 7 = (90 pts.)

Might pick one up myself and try it out. Can’t really go wrong with $20.

Thanks for the notes!

It’s certainly worth a flyer, Yong. I purchased mine at Wine Exchange, in Orange, CA, fyi.
