2011 Weingut Josef Leitz Rüdesheimer Berg Roseneck Riesling Spätlese - Germany, Rheingau (2/12/2019)
In a word, luscious. Rich tropical fruit, accented by lime zest. Acidity that was once buried by massive fruit is now an equal player, making the wine both exciting and refreshing. It’s still very young, with almost no developed elements other than a Chenin-esque lanolin note, but it is so good. Have some fun and drink one.

Enjoyed one of these 6 months ago, loved it and made me glad I have some more. This is my favourite wine from Leitz every year.

I think Johannes wasn’t happy with it and decided not to release it. I don’t have many details. Maybe it simply went bad?
The 2014 had issues. I know that.
I still have the 2002, 2003 and 2005 vintages of this wine in my cellar. Have you had any of those recently? Thoughts?
