#1 Post by Kris Patten » January 26th, 2019, 5:49 pm

On the early run some Lagier Meredith mags of Syrah and mixed case of Wilde Farm: Heritage, Chard and Pinot Noir.

Links from Todd's PM come up with a message saying I don't have access to both the early sales and preview threads.

Briceland Pinots (been meaning to try those for years) and Chiron Napa (always like to try out Napa Cabs in this price range) for me.

Plus refreshed my stems, something I’ve wanted to do since noticing the silly hodge-podge of glasses I put out at Thanksgiving. Went for a half dozen each of Gabriel Glas and and Grassl Cru.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the mixed case of Briceland Pinots but that was a pre-BD previous BD buyers email offer.

Hey Richard, can I interest you in a nice Becklyn Reserve Cab?

Matched my bottle count from BDIX, and BDX hasn’t officially started.

My post is more appropriate for Epicurean Exploits. I ordered steaks from Flannery, and Ventresca and small sardines from Nola at Veleta. Cellar’s full, and the pantry and freezer nearly so.
Life is good.

Was late to the game and lost out on the case of Biggio-Hamina PN deal. But did manage to buy some extremely well priced Grassl and Chester’s Anvil and Tribidrag from L-M.

Briceland mixed 6 pack
Franny Beck 6 pack
Valeta mixed 6 pack
EMH Black Cat 3 pack
Loring mystery 6 pack
Virage 4 pack mini-vertical

Appreciate that! I am pretty excited about that delivery. There were a lot of cool offerings under Balanced, I've been (re)building up Riesling in my cellar, so that seemed to be a nice sweet spot for a very fair price. I'll make a note of what you wrote.

Rich, seems like you are the Mike Evans of Berserker10 Preview Day.
That's a pretty nice compliment from what I've historically seen. :) TY

Then there was a case of Kutch from their mailing list. I'll live.
Winning the title is one thing......retaining it is a whole nother.
The beauty of BerserkerDay is that everyone who participates wins. I took the mantle from Sheila, but she doesn’t seem to have let it diminish her love of BD a bit and I feel the same way (though I’m flattered by the recognition). For me, maintaining discipline and holding to my budget is a huge win and I’m still coming away with plenty of great wine.

Rich was very close to coming out the overall winner last year, IIRC, so his strong performance this year is no surprise. With so many great producers and great wines available, there is plenty to go around and I hope to see people dwarfing my past performance.

Virage rose 6-pack
Tercero rose 6-pack
Biggio Hamina rose 4-pack
Franny Beck Pinot 3-pack
JB Neufeld Cabernet 3-pack

I largely stuck to a theme, and I’m very happy about it. Tomorrow awaits...

Holy crap.

Rich K0rz€nk0 is definitely going to be the BerserkerDay 10 VIP/MVP the way this has panned out. Wow.

At the end (beginning?) of my first BD, informed by reading past threads:

Tercero 6 pack rose
Briceland mixed 6 pack
Franny Beck 6 pack
Valeta mixed 6 pack
EMH Black Cat 3 pack
Loring mystery 6 pack
Virage 4 pack mini-vertical
Riverain 3 pack cab

With still a couple more to go tomorrow, assuming my credit card holds up.

You all are a dangerous crowd to get mixed up with... [berserker.gif]

First BD for me. Pretty incredible deals.

Sojourn, Riverain, EMH.

Considering Cabot, Arcadian, and possibly EMH SS.

Holy Crap was exactly what I was thinking.

I was out all day yesterday and couldn’t get online. Targeting today: Nola’s olive oil, Tercero rose, and a free bottle of Sojourn.

Picked up EMH 6 Pack - 2013/2014, Lagier Meredith Mags and Tercero "some like it low" from the early purchase offers. Looking forward to the offers today.
