Ceritas Wine

So i got a small order of Ceritas Pinot noir and Chardonnay today from the winery, 2016 vintage. I want to try them this weekend. Is it to soon from shipping time to drink on Saturday? Or is letting wine rest from shipping a wife’s tale.

I would probably let the wines settle a bit more and honestly these wines show best with some age on them. What wines did you get? If you got all single vineyard wines, I probably would show some restraint and wait a bit. If you got some Coastalina Pinot, I guess it wouldn’t hurt to pop one this weekend assuming you bought more than one bottle.

Let us know your thoughts. Love Ceritas wines.

2016 Porter-brass Chardonnay and 2016 Hellsworth Pinot Noir.

Hellsworth?? As Rich said these demand age to show their best. If your looking to see if the style matches your palate then I would double decant and drink the next day.

To correct that typo it’s “Hellenthal Vineyard”.

Great wines but they do show better with age.

If you haven’t had them before,
the only answer is pop and pour!

If you have had them before, then I agree,
Best to wait a few years before you see.

Drink 'em up, especially if they froze on the way to your house.

John, welcome to the board. On your bottles of Ceritas, they will certainly be better with a bit of aging but don’t overthink this just enjoy them. If you can decant which ever Ceritas you decide to open. 4-5 hours minimum if you can.

Be sure to report back and give us your impressions.

Tom

If you have the patience you will be rewarded. Certias is great!
