Looks like he just slapped a new name/label on his previous design: https://saintcloudbourbon.com/

Our Bourbon is produced in a traditional manner, using a pot-Column Hybrid Still, without the use of many other modern aids and equipment.

The interesting thing about him is that he keeps trying with beverages rather than switch to some other arena. Who knows - eventually he may come up with a win.

It’s all the same arena. The thing isn’t the product, it’s the con that generates money and attention. That’s what he trades in.

I think the weird thing is that they're not even DIFFERENT beverages. what are the chances that there isnt any crossover between the people a Burgundy wine company screws over and the people an expensive bourbon company screws over? Why not switch to hand crafted juices at least? lol

also switching to a beverage where the connoisseurs can't even agree on whether Jack Daniels qualifies because its Tennessee style instead of Kentucky, and then claiming yours is French style.... brilliant.

Hello everyone,
I’m writing today after years of sitting by and reading or hearing inaccurate personal attacks and lies regarding my business and character.

Let me be clear:
Maison Ilan was transparent in every aspect. Maison Ilan purchased grapes exclusively from the Burgundy wine region. I personally made all of the wines. The winery pre-sold wines that were to be delivered at a later date. For years I delivered wines to clients that prepaid. Due to issues with Customs, the wines were destroyed, leading to the winery closing. At the time of closing, some orders could not be fulfilled due to the inventory being destroyed against my will. I have extensively detailed the aspects that led to this outcome. Many businesses have closed in similar situations, and it is considered a business failure, not fraud.

The moderators for this website have allowed slanderous statements against me to remain on wineberserkers despite their Terms of Use strictly prohibiting these personal and abusive attacks.

From the time before Maison Ilan launched, through to its closing, this website has encouraged a community of members to falsely accuse me of a number of things. These accusations include fraud and being a con artist. No amount of proof provided by me (documents, photos or video) would satiate these false claims against my business. While not only false, these claims are completely without merit. I have repeatedly written and published proof to the contrary. I have also outlined a full explanation of the events that lead to the failure of Maison Ilan, including my own personal mistakes.

It is also worth mentioning that I have published a form online (that has been accessed through a link from this site), for those that have paid for wines that they did not receive. My plan is to make these former clients whole.

It is time to put to bed the baseless claims of anything fraudulent having taken part. I started a business, and I failed in the end. And I am doing my best to compensate those damaged financially by the closing of the winery.

I will continue to rebuild and learn from my mistakes. In rebuilding, as I have mentioned on the above mentioned form, I fully intend to make everyone whole that has not received their wines due to my business being closed.

I appreciate those that have supported Maison Ilan, including clients, wine critics and journalists. I put all of my efforts and energy into Maison Ilan. I dedicated my life to producing the best wine that I could, and did things the hard way because I thought that they were the best for the wines. To lose it all has definitely been the hardest thing that I’ve ever had to go through. I want to thank all of my supporters and those that encouraged me to build again. Your ability to be human in your compassion and understanding has been essential to my growth and ability to push forward.

My brother was born in St. Cloud, but then it was in Minnesota.

Since you're around, Ray, tell us about the Bourbon. This forum played a major role in popularizing your adventure in Burgundy. Here's a second chance.

Thank you for the welcome back, Peter Chiu. I was sincere in what I wrote. I'm sure personal attacks will prevail, and be encouraged.
I think that this shows evidence of exactly what I've charged previously regarding this site.

It isn't enough for someone to lose everything that they worked for and to come back with a straight and honest statement while trying to rebuild.

Also, I'm not here to sell Bourbon. I'm hear because I am attempting to communicate my interest in setting the story relating to the winery (not my personal life including my children) straight. How my personal life including my children is up for entertainment, I'll never completely understand. But I'll say that I've only seen this happen in my particular case and on this forum.

I'd ask each of you that have children or if nothing else, personal lives, to stick to speaking about business. Insulting my family says much more about those issuing the statements than it does about me.

C’mon Ray, you can BS rubes who haven’t seen your act....that’s truly your highest calling. But this group has witnessed you in all of your duplicitous glory. You are a huckster. You’re good at it. It’s a valuable skill. Go be the best huckster you can be; whether it’s bourbon or car parts, wine, luxury yachts or timeshares!

But if you came here to draw some line in the sand, you’re wasting your time.

Oh come on, wah wah. People 'attack' me all the time on here, I don't come and ask for sympathy. You aren't special in this regard, Ray, and just like in life, you can't control what 1) people think of you, and 2) what people say about you. You like to say you've lost everything and you are just coming here to clear your name or whatever but there is a rather clear story that has repeated itself with BMW parts and then Maison Ilan, and many of the individuals that only wanted an honest transaction, buying Burgundy from you, were screwed out of it. Yet you have the balls to show up and request sympathy for the 'personal attacks'.

Frankly, as a result of how many you cheated here, you aren't welcome here, as far as I'm concerned, though I'm not going to ban you. If you make right by all the Berserkers you cheated, then fine, welcome back. Until then, take your wahmbulance with you.

Actually, that’s not really what “irony” means.
I really enjoy an irony streak in my Burgundies.

So it's not ironic that he complained about poor English skills, yet in the same post used poor English skills himself?

Hey guys,
I’m not actually here to complain about personal attacks. My intentions were to come here, and to express my side of what happened with Maison Ilan as well as express my interest in making people whole.

Now that some have gone to personal attacks, I’ll just say that those things are
1) none of your business
2) not accurately stated

Regarding the accusations about being a con, defrauding people, whatever you want to call it. I’d like to respond. It is all too easy to call someone a name.

This is a wine site. Let’s talk about WINE. It’s too easy to try to distract onlookers by making personal attacks.

There have been claims of fraud and of running a con. The devil is in the details. I know without a doubt that I was Very transparent about my winery and that I can back up everything that I’ve stated regarding it.

So, go ahead. Tell me what I misrepresented. I’m All ears.

So Ray, serious question:

In your own words, what exactly were the issues with Customs that led to the confiscation & destruction of all Maison Ilan inventory? Also, was it explained to Customs that said inventory was already pre-sold, so in essence they were destroying property belonging to third parties and not to Maison Ilan?

Maybe if you could provide a USA mailing address people could have counsel serve their fraud allegations, etc. and have it all heard in court. Win Win. Closure for each side.
