1999 Vogue - Chambolle Musigny - Premier Cru

Audouzed for 3 hours then decanted.

Concentrated pristine wine, with a deep rich kernel of dark fruit.

An aristocratic wine without a hair out of place. The opposite of a flamboyant wine, with a very long finish.

As classy as can be. 94.

Just had the '93 Chambolle village last week and I found it to be getting close to hitting peak with at least 25 years left to go. It was just as you are describing this wine as well with dark fruits, crystalline focus and purity with a velvety texture and seamlessness that left me in awe of its humble village-level designation. I sure do wish this stuff was more affordable. I’d rather drink this over lesser producers GC wines any day of the week.

Well, it is Musigny. Young vines, 25 and under at this time.

Yes, I was thinking similarly, this wine will easily last another 20 years…
