TN: 2013 Pierre Yves Colin Morey Saint Aubin Les Ebaupins

I’ve found very little information about this vineyard. What I did find noted that it was west facing and located above and behind the village.

This had a very beautiful nose with some citrus and white peach notes. There was a hint of reduction upon opening, but this blew off pretty quickly.

Very elegant and smooth, with nice integration and some of the weightlessness that I sometimes see with PYCM’s wines. Long finish. This was a very nice drink but continued to evolve over the course of the night and I think some time would benefit the wine.

The map application that I use shows it as a red wine vineyard, so perhaps there are just a few rows of white?

I don’t know; the only producers I’ve seen from there were all making whites.

Hope this loads properly, the application is Atlas Vins.

It lists Le Banc as red too…

nice note of a wine I’ve never heard of!

I’d never heard of it either; it was on bryan’s site for $50 so I figured why not.

What is this Bryan site?

Day 2 this is even nicer and a bit more elegant. I’m excited about the higher end 2013s, SA and otherwise.

I would love to see him make a Chardonnay in California off Platt, Hyde, Rochioli or a true Sonoma Coast vineyard up by Fort Ross.
