2017 François Chidaine Montlouis-sur-Loire Clos du Breuil - France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Montlouis-sur-Loire (1/9/2019)
– popped and poured –
– tasted non-blind over 2.5 hours –

NOSE: primarily of tropical presentation, with notes of underbrush, grass, and spice. Overall “light.”

BODY: medium-light bodied; medium-light tan-yellow color.

TASTE: strong pear; mineral — smoky mineral; medium+ acidity, but not as zippy as the '15 vintage of this bottling; 13% alc. not noticeable; dry. Overall, very nice, and a worthy buy, but doesn’t have anything to it that made me say, “Wow!” Gut impression score: 90 – 91.
