This wine from S.C.R.I C C CANTINA SOCIALE VINI PREGIATI DI SIZZANO E GHEMME is absolutely first class Nebbiolo. Thanks to Klapp i hoover all 1964 Nebbiolo I can get. And this was cheap.
Elegant spicy Nebbiolo nose, and plenty of fruit left to join the modest tannins and tertiary notes. Even I have no idea it was properly kept in the last 54 years it is a gem. Before that we had a 2016 Caroline Morey Chassagne Vielles Vignes. First i would expect heavy spiciness, but this was cristal clear and extremely elegant. It is cheaper than PYCM CM but certainly not lesser QPR. Love this wine

opened the '61 of the Sizzano over Christmas weekend. It just got better and better with air time. about 8-10 hours in and day #2 is when it really hit its stride. amazing!
