I’ve been looking for quality Italian white wines to be served at dinners featuring Italian reds. I found one with Tiberio’s Fonte Canale Trebbiano. And now with Terlano’s Vorberg Riserva I have another. This voluptuous 2016 Pinot Bianco has characteristics of nectarine, lychee, lemon, and great minerality. It’s quite dense and clearly has the stuffing to age gracefully for many years. It’s the kind of Italian white for which I’ve been waiting. 93 points.
I love Terlano’s white wines. The Quartz and Winkl sauv Blancs are fantastic and worth tracking down if you’ve never tried. The winkl has the strongest passion fruit I’ve ever smelled in wine.
I wouldn’t touch these for 6/7 years. They show best between 10/20 years. Dollar for dollar one of planet earths best white wines!
