TN: 2011 Carlisle Papa’s Block Syrah

PnP…
Opaque ruby with a purple shine.
Deeply fruity, fresh, balanced, lifted, lovely acidity and a long finish. Nothing overly-done, and quite immensely satisfying.
92 pts.

Good bottle of wine Barry, the Carlisle Syrah’s certainly have no danger of falling off a clif anytime soon! I had this last year and recall it still could go for as long as one would want to keep it around.

May need to test that, think I still have a single 2004 Papa’s. Thanks for the note.

As much as I love Syrah I am shocked I don’t have a note on the Papa’s Block. Will have to seek out a few bottles. The Cellar Tracker average on these wines is all 92 plus which for the price point is amazing.
