2011 Sine Qua Non Syrah Patine Eleven Confessions Vineyard - USA, California, Central Coast, Sta. Rita Hills (1/1/2019)
The first of my bottles. 93% Syrah, 4% Petite Sirah, 1.6% Roussanne, and 1.4% Viognier. Decanted for 5 hours before drinking and poured back into the bottle. Blackish red color. This has a silky and buttery texture. Notes of leather, black currant, tar, pepper and dark chocolate. Firm but approachable tannins. Full bodied and not overdone or alcoholic. Still showing as good the next day when I had the last glass. Obviously no rush to drink this wine. 97 points.
