2017 Christophe Et Fils Chablis 'Mont de Milieu'
I posted a note a week ago extolling the virtues of the regular Chablis. Not surpisingly this has a touch more ripeness, palate weight and rishness, however it maintains its laser like focus. You could trot out all those typical Chablis descriptors to describe this wine, but I love its steely structure and floral lift. Lovely wine.

2007 Mauro Veglio Barolo Vigneto Arborina
This looks older than an 11 yr old wine. Quite tawny in appearance, not uncommon in Barolo. It is a dense wine that seems quite mature. Tannins are present but have melted, coating the mouth with savoury, tar infused goodness. It is quite ripe and unctuous and perhaps not typical but still a good drink.
