Fairly dark garnet color, this is all Beaune, reserved black cherry and dark raspberry fruit, some meaty/savory notes, excellent acidity, fine slightly chewy tannins, some mouthwatering tartness on the finish. A bit brooding and backward still, but tasty nevertheless with plenty of aging upside. Punches nicely above its weight. (91 pts.)
