- 2006 Champagne Copinet Champagne Monsieur Leonard - France, Champagne (1/1/2019)
Chilled and popped on New Year’s Eve. Pale gold color. Fresh nose of straw, lime, lemon peel, alpine meadow, fizz. Lovely attack with lifted pure white pear, sweet apricot, and mineral spine on the supple palate. Clearly a very good wine with nuance and concentration beneath the fine-grained, lively bubbles. Great showing. (91 pts.)
