A wee BloodyPulpit:

  1. I’ve been a big fan of Ingrid Groiss’s wines since I discovered them 4-5 yrs ago. Her GemitscherSatz is also a terrific wine. Alas, those are the only ones we get in NM except for the rose when we raise such a fuss that CircoVino grudgingly gives us a few cases. But the vnyd-designates we never see here, have to go to CO to find those.
This is a great example of a wine that’s put on weight with age in the btl. When I first had this '16 when it arrived in NM, it was just a very pretty GV from Ingrid again. But now, 8 months later, it’s evolved in to a beautiful GV the equal of many Wachau GV’s at 2-3 times the price. I’m going back for more at Kokoman.
We have a local wine shop that I particularly like and patronize a lot. I asked him why he never carries the IngridGroisss wines, His response is that he doesn’t want to carry the same wines everyone else carries, they don’t have the exclusivity he desires in his shop. Too bad…he’s missing out on some great wines.
