Tried this last night w/ Susan & her NYC family:
1. Bedrock GWT AltaVistaVnyd/MoonMtnDist/SonomaCnty (13.5%; Plntd: 1940's) 2017: Med.light gold color; very strong GWT/lychee/floral/spicy bit hair oil quite aromatic lush fruit nose; quite tart/tangy very dry strong GWT/lychee/floral/spicy slightly bitter bit oily very light chalky flavor; very long slightly bitter lush/ripe/GWT/lychee/floral/bit hair oil finish; lots of primary GWT fruit but a bit on the simple side and not the focus you'd expect from an OV GWT. $35.00
A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. This was a perfectly pleasant GWT but on the simple side and not particularly interesting....somewhat disappointing for an OV GWT. However, I fully expect this wine to put on weight and become much more interesting in a yr's time.
