1988 Sociando Mallet

This well stored 1988 Sociando-Mallet is really delivering. Fabulous nose.
And despite the tightly knitten vintage the fruit is showing nicely. Great wine.

I served one of these at an offline about five years ago and it was unexpectedly close in quality to a 1990 Figeac, also from my cellar. In fact many people had it as their favorite. I have one bottle left.

This was an extra bottle from my nearly complete Sociando vertical (1979 onwards). Which anyway is to long to drink in one evening
