- 2011 Rhys Pinot Noir Family Farm Vineyard - USA, California, San Francisco Bay, San Mateo County (12/26/2018)
Brick red and the nose is more dried flowers than fruit, so I could see how some may see this as premature age. Personally I don't think its that. Family Farm has always been more on the savory side for my palate, and in 2011 I believe that's compounded. It has a sweet herbal nose, the verve of a Nebbiolo, and a lasting saline finish. Lovely now and I'm in no rush to drink my one remaining bottle.
