I just enjoyed a bottle of 2009 Copain “Lie Clair” Syrah Mendocino. Very deep and savory with several years left in the tank. There doesn’t seem to be any info on this bottling anywhere on the internet including CellarTracker. Purchased on Winebid a few years ago (well before the recent deluge of Copain wines there). The bottle was sealed with a blank agglomerate cork as opposed to the typical Copain branded cork which I thought was odd. Lie Clair doesn’t appear to be a vineyard. Anyone have any info about this bottling?
It’s a wine Copain made that was marketed at airport wine bars. I remember having one off the BTG menu many years back at SFO waiting for my flight.
