Sorry missing the 89. But we were able to enjoy the other 10 vintages released from 1985-2004
Killer time at Longo Seafood in Rosemead. Live King Crab prepped 3 ways, live geoduck 2 ways, live spot prawns, whole suckling pig, live aussie spiny lobster prepped 2 days. Went awesome with the Krug.
Thanks Jeff for getting off the ground for this. We had Brandon who was an offline virgin. Back road Bob made the trek over. Gene and his wife fly in from Norcal. Jonathon flew in from CT. Glorious time was had by all. Todd was invited, but he didn’t show.
Initially the bottle was a bit too cold and showed empty. I wasn’t expecting a ton since I felt 85 has been falling off a bit. But once this warmed up it really grew into this round filled bubbly, loads of nuts and fruit. I liked it.
Sorry I don’t get around much in these circles. We were in Hawaii anyway. I have three of those 89’s in the wine locker looking for an excuse. Next time.
Weird that I’m seeing this thread for the first time. ''Twas a marvelous get-together in every aspect - company, food and alcohol (there were a few other bottles of non-bubbles to fill out the evening).
I’ll have to check the wife’s phone for pics/video beyond the Krug that were taken.
