TN: 2010 La Chablisienne Mont de Milieu

this premier cru Chablis punches way above its pedigree and is just stunningly delicious. Menthol and herbal notes, limestone and chalk, lemon zest, the acidity imbues the wine with great lift and intensity. It’s a mouthful of amazing wine. Probably cost about $25 on release. What a screaming great deal.

Great note, thx Alan. Even the generic AOC from La Chablisienne can be delicious and generally punches above it’s class.

When I see a La Chablisienne tn pop up…I know that if it’s not from me, then it’s from you!! The Mac n cheese of Chablis! Cheap and easy drinking…satisfyingly correct in its nature…yummy in the tummy!

I really enjoy LC Chablis too; Louis Michel is another great producer in the same price range.

A group of friends and I ended up buying three cases of the 2014 version of this wiine, and it also is terrific. I have loved Chablis from 2010 and am hoping 2014 turns out as well, or possibly even better. Price on the '14 was in the mid-20s, a great buy.

I’m very fond of the 14 as well.

Me too for the coop. From 2010, some of the Burg whites have had a trace of sweetness that doesn’t quite sit with me, but many have been great, and that trace of sweetness hasn’t been in any of the Chablis I’ve tried. Thanks for posting on this one, Alan.

A bientot,

Mike

Opened the '13 last night - pretty good and bought it for a song.
