  • 2014 Random Wine Company Cabernet Franc - USA, Oregon, Columbia Valley (11/21/2018)
Medium ruby with a rusty iron nose. Light acid, medium fruit and body with dusty tannins, well balanced and drinking pleasantly after an hour plus open time. Roast beef, blood and iron in restrained fashion. Open another 3 days and has faired very well. A medium garnet color, tart ripe cherries with some leather and cane pith tannins, well balanced and integrated acid and tannins. Drinking well now and should have many years of life. (92 pts.)

Beau says he sources this from a vineyard near John Day, not sure if he means John Day River near the Columbia or further up river near the town of John Day.
