2015 Dirty and Rowdy Mourvedre Old Vine Evangelho Vineyard - USA, California, San Francisco Bay, Contra Costa County (11/23/2018)
My favorite wine from Dirty & Rowdy, and the 2015 did not disappoint. Fresh raspberry/ blackberry fruit supplemented with cinnamon spice and a bit of earthy/stony backbone made for pure drinking joy. It was impossible to not smile. Freshness, fun and frivolity from a glass of Mourvèdre - classic D&R wine.

Nice! I almost opened this on Turkey day. Opened the '14 D&R Chardonnay first and never got to this one. Look forward to it soon enough. Thanks for the check in.
Honestly Dennis, despite the fun, I would wait.
Waiting is not Something I am good about with D&R wines. For sure.

I opened the same wine on Thursday with similar impressions. It improved over 4-5 hours in the decanter so you might want to wait a little while to drink this.
Thanks everyone. The '15 Evangelho is a lot of fun. It has a lot some serious power for a D&R wine and though it should live a long time, it is hard to not open it now.
Opened by mistake about two months ago (was reaching for Unfamiliar while talking at the same time - kind of like walk and chew gum) and the whole room kept asking me what wine it was. Good to the last drop and gone quickly.
I need more money or more patience and neither of those seem likely.
