Popped and poured to accompany roast turkey at Thanksgiving. White hue with tinge of green. Nose of alpine flowers, schist, white peach, faint apricot. Lifted and energetic on the tongue with layers of pure white melon, lychee, peach, and hints of pear eddying about and undergirded by rock and stone. Graceful structure and fresh acidity. Harmonious finish of etched white fruit and a bit of petrol. Elegant, balanced wine. (91 pts.) -
2011 Domaine de Pallus Chinon Les Pensées de Pallus - France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Chinon (11/23/2018)
Popped and poured. Garnet color. Nose of cassis, currant, earth. Red currant and plum fruit on the palate with integrated tobacco and green notes to add interest. Tactile tannin and nice acidity leading to a longer finish of crisp red plum fruit with rocky grip. Very nice with BBQ brisket at Thanksgiving meal. (90 pts.)
