TN: 2016 Domaine Jamet Côtes du Rhône

On the nose at first a little horse brett that blows off. On the nose black olives, roasted meat, iodine, some saddle, dark berry fruit, and violets. This is a wine of harmonious contrasts. This has depth and breadth but with sap and a suppleness to its texture (with the understanding that this is Syrah) that makes is terribly easy to drink and hard to refuse the next glass. It’s savory more than fruit driven. What stands out most is that nothing stands out at all. It has an excellent mix of ease and complexity, remains very drinkable, and while I am sure it can age a few years, it is delicious right now.

On day two, this has pretty much stayed stable. A seamless wine of balance and pleasure. Lovely and a joy to drink. 92 (92 pts.)

Thanks, I got a bottle of this and it is dirt cheap by the look of your note. Will open it when back in Provence
