Haven’t had 08 but BdM still has significant premox risk. Check the wiki.
Cellartracker notes very positive most saying wine is quite backward. FWIW, '04 and '06 opened recently have been sound.
How was the 06?
I had it, but only a good 6 years ago, so no significance for premox …
however a strong concentrated wine, usually still young (if nor p-moxed)
I had the ‘06 last Nov at a restaurant in Paris; was maybe a touch advanced - showing some nutty notes - but that cleared up with a little air. It was complex and satisfying and I was perfectly happy with it
Had the 2008 in February, was still youthful and was stunning after 2/2.5 hours of being open. I would decant ahead of time, this way you will know if the bottle is good too.
Had one a couple of weeks ago - all in fine shape, though not as precise as 2010. More fruit expression though.
I had a couple of bottles last year Scott, both terrific.
