2012 Penfolds Bin 8 - Australia, South Australia (11/14/2018)
Day 1: Third time trying this wine and it is solid. Blackberries, strawberries, mint, spices and floral notes. Very smooth wine overall and easy drinking. Medium plus finish. 89 points
Day 2: More fruit showing including blueberries, blackberries and cherry. Quite balanced and good acidity. Certainly not a fruit bomb or high alcohol. Drinking really well right now. 90 points
Day 3: Drinking really well with more integrated fruit along with graphite, spices, black licorice, white pepper and a minerality streak. Medium plus finish. This is a tremendous and under appreciated by the tracker users. This reminds me of the old 389s before they went through the roof in pricing with more complexity. 90 points
Recommendation: Drink this now to 2022. An outstanding value! (90 pts.)
